Scientist

Seaside Therapeutics seeks a highly motivated neuroscientist experienced in the biology, pathophysiology and neuropharmacology of brain and cognitive function.  The successful candidate will provide leadership within the Biology Department and at the bench in the discovery and development of novel therapeutics. This position requires the candidate to be flexible, self-motivated and experienced at working both independently and as part of a team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a strong scientific background to shape a growing preclinical research team.

Qualifications

Education/Experience: A Ph.D. in neuroscience is required, along with 2-5 years postdoctoral experience; industry experience is preferred but not required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of cell, molecular and developmental biology as they relate to cognitive function.
  • Experience developing molecular, biochemical and cell-based assays. 
  • Extensive experience in neuropharmacology and behavioral models.
  • Supervisory experience and project management experience both desirable.
  • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.

 

Senior Research Investigator

Seaside Therapeutics seeks a talented Research Associate with a strong cellular and molecular biology background and demonstrated expertise developing and performing biochemical and cellular assays. The successful candidate, working within the biology team, will be responsible for developing, optimizing and performing assays to support discovery programs.  This is a unique opportunity for a self-motivated individual to play a significant role in establishing a new biology department and contributing to the development of novel therapeutics.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:  M.S. in biological science plus 5 years relevant industry experience or a B.S with 8+ years relevant industry experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong technical background and solid understanding of biological processes
  • Experience developing and performing assays using molecular and cellular techniques
  • Knowledge of the neurobiology of disease and neuropharmacology preferred
  • Strong analytical and computer skills
  • Experience with technical writing, including SOPs and technical reports.
  • Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and strong interpersonal skills.
